For the past 40 years I have been intrigued with the beauty of wood.  The grain and hue of wood have always fascinated me and in my early years of woodworking I made furniture and cabinetry.  In recent years I have changed my interests to the formation of bowls.  Two types of bowls particularly interest me; natural edge in which I explore the beauty of the grain and the pattern of the wood, and segmented bowls in which I mix a combination of colors; using exotic woods and pattern to create designs which are exciting and artistic in nature.  Wood is one of the most natural ways to enjoy nature around us.  Wood bowls bring nature into our homes and create an artistic quietly reflective environment.
